Good times start with good people.
A few shared expectations help everyone feel comfortable, included and ready to join in. These apply at every event, and each activity has a few extras.
01. Make room for everyone
Welcome new faces, include people in conversations and take turns. Respect different backgrounds, identities, abilities and experience levels.
02. Keep it kind
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation and unwanted attention have no place here. Respect a “no” without asking someone to justify it.
03. Play fair, show up thoughtfully
Follow activity and venue rules, arrive ready for the start, and let the host know if you can no longer attend. Friendly competition should stay friendly.
04. Look after yourself and the group
Read the event details, bring suitable equipment and follow the host’s safety instructions. Tell the host if you feel unwell or need to leave. Do not attend if alcohol or anything else would affect your safe participation.
05. Respect people’s privacy
Ask before taking or sharing photos. Do not share anyone’s contact details or personal stories without their permission.
06. Leave places better than you found them
Care for shared equipment, respect venue staff and other visitors, and take your rubbish home.
07. Speak up when something feels wrong
For an immediate concern during an event, speak to the host. For a non-urgent concern or suggestion, use our feedback form. Hosts may pause participation or ask someone to leave to protect the group.
Activity guidelines
Feedback can be sent without a name or email. Please don’t use the form for emergencies or anything that needs an immediate response.
