BADMINTON EVENT GUIDELINES
Badminton event guidelines
Event guidance for a safe, welcoming session. These expectations apply whenever you join one of our badminton events.
- Wear suitable sports clothing and clean, non-marking indoor court shoes to help keep you and the court safe.
- Bring a racket if you have one. The event details will say if rackets or shuttles are provided.
- Choose a level of play that feels right for your health and fitness. Warm up before playing, and stop and let the host know if you feel unwell or get hurt.
- Play fairly and keep things friendly. We rotate partners and courts so everyone gets a game; all experience levels are welcome.
- Call lines honestly, respect other players and venue staff, and follow the host’s instructions.
- Keep the court clear when it is not your turn, and help pack away equipment promptly at the end of the session.
- Ask before taking or sharing photos. If you do not want to appear in club photos, let the host know.
Our general community guidelines apply at every event too.
